Hi Guys! I just wanted to add something about picking eggs/chicks up. We used to allow it but we no longer are going to let people come to our home either. I will meet them from now on up in town at the post office or ship to them . We have a private home here and do not have a store front. But we have had people come back and just 'drop by' without a notice or call.........
One just recently (which was the turning point)
on Sunday I was just stepping out of the shower and a knock at the door revealed someone who had gotten chicks from us in the past and just 'stopped by' to see if we had any available.....
We've also had company from out of town and had people 'stop by' unannounced to 'see what you have'. It is rude and unacceptable. I also fear someone coming back when we are not here....
And lastly, to be NPIP certified in the state of Ohio you are not allowed visitors where your birds are (you are even supposed to wash the car tires if the people are pulling into your drive from another home where birds are kept) Silly though it sounds it is part of their rules.
Sorry!
Just had to put in my 2 cents
