I have great neighbors too, like you I checked with them before getting my hens. One even came over to cut down a scrub tree that was in the way of where the coop was going.

I recently checked with the closest neighbor to see if they were bothering them (her hubby works shift work and sometimes sleeps days). She told me they had forgotten I even had them, so no they weren't bothering them. I'll have to take her some eggs for being a good sport!

That is a great asset to have!!

We have awesome neighbors. We all can't see each other but still call one another neighbors and we all trade out veggies and our kids play with each other. The neighbor boy down the road is always checking with me to see if I want him to help with anything (dh thinks he has a crush LOL) and we all share the love for animals and all have plenty that all co-exist so nicely. You can depend on any of them for anything at any time and they would be more than happy to help and never complain! It is so nice when people can live together so wonderfully
