sore on bantams back??

My Goldie has a quarter size mark on her back. The feathers are gone and it looks like its scabbed over pretty good.. anyone have ideas on what could have happened? She is not new to my flock, almost a year old same as my other ladies. She is the only bantam out there though. The rest are red sexlinks and Plymouth rocks.

It looks as if she was either picking at herself or one of the others was at her. I would use some Blu-Kote on this. It covers the blood and will help keep the picking from getting worse. Have you checked for lice and mites?
 
I'll check at my feed store to see if they have that. If not, i'll run to TS to get it..
No I haven't. I'm not sure what to look for with that?
 
Do you have a rooster with them? If so, I bet the rooster was fertilizing her and his nails/spurs scratched her and opened the wound. I would consider getting a hen saddle. I also second the Blu-Kote.
