on all of my fre ranging chickens they have a round sore on the bottom of their foot. it almost looks like a popped blister. but its not red or discharging any liquids so do i need to worry about it? is there somthing wrong with them? or is there just something out in my yard that is poking their feet and making a sore?

Could be Bumblefoot; do a search on here for it & you'll find pics that might help you identify. good luck and:

That does sound like bumblefoot. Do a search on bumblefoot and you will get lots of good information. Better to treat now than later, for it gets worse if left untreated.

summary

1. bath feet in epsom salt and water for 1/2 hr day
2. pack triple antibiotic ointment in sores
3.bandage feet
4.pennicilin
5.do every day

better check other threads forr more details

good luck

It sounds like bummblefoot. You need to be careful because other birds and people can get it too.

how long does it take to go away?

and for bathing their foot in espon salt and water...is that 30 minute a day?! is that what you mean? and the penicilian.....how do i give that to them??? is that a needle to?? if it is what is the needle size and how much and where do i give it them at?

It really depends on how bad it is. Use the search to look up bumble foot and you will find many treatments and pictures.
