Sore on my Rooster back

I am wondering why my one and only Rooster has a sore spot on his back and he is loosing feathers?
Help.

You might want to post a picture in the emergency section here of BYC....

It could be from molting and others are picking at his back. If the area is sore and looks picked on, you might spray some Blu-Kote on the area to help with any infection and keep the others from picking on him.

Any possibility that the hens are 'feather plucking'? Welcome to BYC.

If you post a photo we may be able to tell if it looks like a skin problem or the work of feather pluckers.
