Sore On Quail Breast

Hi there, this is Vivian and as you can see in the pic she has developed a sore/cyst/absess on her breast. I had not noticed anything wrong with her until this morning when she had wet feathers where the sore had exploded. There is no puss or blood though it is red. I have disinfected and applied an antisceptic cream which I will continue to do morning and night.
She is Courternix, 8 months ish old, still eating and acting normally (a little dosile perhaps). 5 others in the flock all fine.
Any thoughts?

Poor baby! Is she eating, drinking, pooping? Lethargic? I would put some Swat or other anti-fly ointment on it and keep an eye out for pecking from the other members of the flock.

She is eating plenty, drinking, pooping, looking around and being inquisitive as normal. She was easy to catch though to wash the wound so she could be a little lethargic. Thanks I will get some tomorrow and definitely be keeping an eye on her with the other ladies. They have all settled down in a pile of hay for the night quite peacefully, showing no interest in her.
