sores on knees of 3months old cockeral

Ok..i have been still feeding him and sadly he is not eating on his own. Now those sores are extending to his phalanges :(. I still can't figure what are they.

In your photo it appear to me that there is a red line spreading from sores, which can indicate infection moving through bloodstream. Try soaking in epsom salts and put him on antibiotics,is a vet a possibility? He is not eating b/c he is very ill,try and keep him hydrated.

Thanks.
Vet won't be possible where i live. If epsom salt is not available would regular table salt do?
He has been drinking water on his own and i am giving him tetracycline. I am not sure if its a gram positive or negative infection. :(

You can do a warm saltwater soak using 2 tsp of table salt per quart of water,do this 2-3 times a day until infection subsides For antibiotics look at penicillin injectable,as Tetracycline does not appear to be helping.

Here is a link explaining penicillin or other alternatives, how to administer and dose amounts.

He isnt improving neither his health deteoriating further. His body is always warm or perhaps summer is approaching rather fast where i live :s.
I today is the third day of tetracycline and i also gave him aspirin and soaked his leg in salt water.
How long should i continue on tetracycline and if he isnt improving when should i switch to penicillin??

Thanks all for your help ..much appreciated!

Ok..here is another update. He has a similar sore on his crop and i guess that is the reason he isnt eating much as distended crop give him more pain(i assume).
He has lost a lot of weight. I checked about viral arthritis and myco synovitis. The sign and symptoms are different.
Does anyone know what possibly he is suffering from specially with a sore on his crop now??
Your suggestions and advices will be much appreciated.

Are you giving him at-least one hard boiled egg a day pealed & mashed and if he is un-willing to eat it you may need to put it in a blender and add a touch of sugar water and put it down his neck
