Sores on the faces of my 2 buff piningtons.

I bought 12 hens 7 weeks ago. 2 each of 6 different breads. I bought them all the same day and all from the same place. I noticed tonight, both of my buff piningtons have sores on their faces. One of them has a grey bumpy spot about the size of a pencil eraser right in the middle of her nose and the other has a fresh looking red sore at the edge of the back of her mouth.

Welcome to BYC. Can you post pictures of the sores? Have you seen mosquitoes lately? Has there been any pecking from the different chickens?

I agree, has there been many mosquitos? I know that in some areas there are so many that animals are dying. Even here we have too many mosquitos and I have to spray them down each night. And...

I live in Fl too so I know how bad it is. Mosquitos are terrible here.
