Yeah. With my silver laced wyandotte, I am 70% sure male, but then I see a thread where someone had a chick with TONS of red comb and wattle development grow up to lay eggs...and I have hope again. So I'm going to hold out hope until I hear crowing I guess. Or see pointy saddle feathers.
 
I'm not an expert, but I've been looking at wayyyy to many old silver laced wyandotte threads about gender, and with them, comb color isn't a good way to tell. No idea if that carries over to other small comb breeds, but thought I'd put it out there. 🤷‍♀️
With rose combs (Wyandottes in particular) color isn't always the best indicator. However with single combed birds, it is.
