Thank youLooks like an RIR (Rhode Island Red) . Pretty lady!
Interesting, I always wondered that the big difference between the breeds were, the only thing I noticed was the color. Not looking like a RIR. Looks like a Production Red or a mix. Hard to tell with the contrast all flared out in that pic.
Where did you get her?
A RIR should be deep red. Even a hatchery quality bird.Interesting, I always wondered that the big difference between the breeds were, the only thing I noticed was the color.
I'm thinking it may also be a mixed breed.
May be nothing but there's barely any black in the tail compared to a RIR.
That's what my BTR Xs buff look like. Color is similar too. Not as light as buff or as dark as red.
Interesting observations. You guys have a good eye for stuff like this, minor differences in color compared to other breeds is stuff I wouldn't have noticed.A RIR should be deep red. Even a hatchery quality bird.
This bird looks more like a Production Red with that orangey/faded color. Hard to say when the picture's color has been edited though.
Exactly. That's what my BTR Xs buff look like. Color is similar too. Not as light as buff or as dark as red.
