6,7 are doing fine they have nursed already. Now I have to get outside and throwthe coop build into overdrive its already 11:20 here.
Possum looks just like gabby besides the one eye deal.

The sun is out on my side of the mountains, so you've got good weather to work in.

The ground was frosty at my place this morning. But sun is supposed to shine through the weekend.

They all look the same does anyone know a safe way I can mark them to tell them apart? I tried the yarn around the neck and it came off, I heard you can use a permant marker but I only have a black one and they are all black. I should probably weigh them. Any ideas? Thanks

I have raised Doxies all my life and any time i had litters - i used the yarn just make sure it is tied tight enough to not slip off - but not so tight as they choke them. I would not use the marker as if the mother licks it obviously it will get in her system and in her milk. Trust me the older they get you can tell them apart as they get their own "identity" COngrats!

I remember when my wittle Janie and wittle Lilly were that wittle... SOOO tiny and cute!!

Congrats on a healthy brood and mom!

Our cute little angels just pinned and killed another possum under the shed last night... handy little doggies to have.

Thank you all for helping with the birth of the puppies there are 7 total . this is gabbys first puppies she is 2 1/2 years old and she is being a great mom. We have 4 girls and 3 boys all are doing well and nursing. 5 were 7 ounces and two are 5.5 ounces but all have been fed and are active. we have marked them all with different colored yarn so we can weigh them daily to make sure each is growing well. thank you all for your support and comments we are grateful.

The 2 best methods ive heard of for marking pups is using different colors of thin ribbon (tuffer than yarn) or different colors of nail polish on a single paw on each pup. I remember when my mom's mini was that small
