Sound proofing

What is the best way to sound proof a brick coop? For the most part our chicks are pretty quiet. Last night when we came back in after putting them in their coops for their first over night one let out a very loud chirp like sound. I dont want to piss our neighbors off. How can we make it alittle more sound proof.

Techniques to dampen sound generally result in diminished ventilation and you want to avoid that at all costs.
If this was their first night outside I wouldn't worry about this being a routine issue. Generally birds only alert in the night if they are disturbed by something atypical. They will need time to adjust to their new home.

It's right now being voted on. There are people that have them and they are not find. You just can't have roosters. Are girls for the most part you don't know they are there. We have had them in their coop during the day just not at night until last night. And they are so quiet we forget their in there.

FYI sometimes a dominant hen in an all-female flock will start crowing if she's top of the pecking order. Happened to me a few years ago, we were soooo confused

And sometimes any old hen for any old reason will start crowing.
I have 2 roosters and 2 cockerels and TWO crowing hens! Neither of these two hens are top (or even in the top 5) of the pecking order.

Wow thanks for telling me I really hope none of them start crowing. We would have to give them up because of that if they do

The chirp could have been a sneeze. Dust can get them sometimes.

They have all 3 done a sneeze a few times. The first time they did I freaked out I didn't know chickens sneezed
