Sound right?

My mom she's wants a chicken that's freindly, a good consistent layer, not flighty, hardy, pretty, and has pretty eggs. I immedinatally though EE. Sound right? Any other suggestions?

Since EE's are Americanas crossed with other breeds, they have a large variation of behaviors. I would recommend Black Australorps. They are very friendly, hardy and great for Back Yards!

We love our EE's. My daughter even has them handled so much that you can hold them on their backs like babies. Even her EE rooster, she carries around all over the place. They are very friendly and will lay all year.

To get friendly chickens that she can hand feed, she may have to raise the chicks herself. My Barred-rock and especially my Dominique are sweet girls that I can walk up to and pick up, but I raised them from hatch and handled them daily. I have little experience with EEs, but almost any breed will be friendly if raised from a chick into adulthood with frequent handling and interaction.
