My runty chick always has cold feet. I think simething might be wrong with her. She is considerable smaller than the other three, but eats, acts healthy. I just notice every time I handle her, her feet are cold. The others all have warm feet. She was smallest to begin with but she just keeps dropping further and further behind.

Any ideas? She's the sweetest chick. I hold her and she is the only one who will snuggle down in my neck. (I am turning into the crazy chicken lady!!) I think she really likes it warm. I did lower the lamp a little to see if she wants more heat just now, I can't imaging it will make a difference overall... She doesn't seem to want the lamp more than anyone else did, though... ??
Thanks!

Huh? Odd... I've had runts, but never noticed the feet being warm or cold. I would'nt stress it though. I would feed it seperatly for a while. See if it can catch up in size. Mine were eating, but I don't think they got enough, they would quickly become crowded out at dinner time. You could also give it poly~vi~sol without iron. and put a teaspoon of apple cider vinager in the water.

Thanks, I'll try that. How much vitamin per what amount of water? Is it ok to feel ALL of them vitamins? (The search function is not working for me today. It comes up no hits no matter what I search.)

I put a dropperful in their water. That should help them.. The ACV will help them absorb the vitamins better I'd put about a teaspoon in the water for about a quart sized container.

All of my chicks have cold feet. They are perfectly happy, eating and growing well, and have the coldest feet. I just figure their blood probably doesn't flow as strongly in their feet,a dn they are fine.
