Hey! My girl Blanche has what I call soupy poops. Dark brown..MAYBE reddish..but not so much. It was very watery but I got them on Corrid and it seems to be improving. I was giving them watermelon slices every day last week - then read that melon's can cause chickens to get diarrhea. I figured I'd cover my bases just giving them Corrid in their water for a few days. She seems fully energetic, clear eyes, healthy feathers, all around great looking lady...so I'm not sure if she is/was/never was sick? Maybe it was the melon? Do you guys treat w/ Corrid as even a preventative? I'm still learning the ropes!

You're correct, watermelon will cause watery poops and maybe reddish coloring sometimes. No need to give corid unless they are starting to show symptoms of coccidiosis, ie listless/lethargic, fluffed up, not eating or drinking, possible blood in feces, death.

Ok I'll switch their water out tonight when I get home. When it comes to adding Apple Cider Vinegar to their water - is this something you would do often?
