Sour Crop? Please help!!!!

I have 2 chicks that look like they have kind of large stomachs, and when i feel where their crop is, it's squishy, is that sour crop? If so, what should i do to get rid of it? thanks!

From what you described, there is no reason to think it's sour crop. Is there any smell? Are they off their feed? How old are the birds ?

7 weeks and 5 weeks, and yes they are eating

Is the crop in larged?? that is what it sounds like you are describing, you cant really see their stomachs..

The crop should be full and round when chickens go to roost at night, then it should be flat and smooth first thing in the morning when they have not been eating.

They Should be a little squishy but if you smell a bad smell coming from their beaks its sour crop.

Good luck, try giving some probiotics and ACV get some good bacteria going and a healthy digestive tract will help.
