I have a 4 week old chick with what I thought was sour crop. She had a huge squishy crop and when I tried masaging it a bunch of nasty smelling stuff came out so I vomited her and then started her on ACV and yogurt and softened chick starter. It's been over a week and her crop still fills up and doesn't completely empty. I can feel something in there that I couldn't feel before. It feels like it's 2" long and as big around as a pencil. It's firm but not hard. I have no idea what to do with her but a vet visit isn't an option for me. Any ideas?

Was there any garbage in her pen or anything? I don't have any experience with this, but my dogs have eaten plenty of things. Maybe you could try to vomit it out of her?
Like I said I really have no experience

No, I had her in a brooder so she had no access to anything but what was in there which was just pine shavings. It feels like it might be tissue of some sort. Like scar tissue

Well I decided we had to do something and since I tried everything else we did surgery. This was what was in her crop. The brown is carpet fibers from our current remodel. I have not a clue what the yellow is. It feels like maybe a tumor or something. It's firm and fleshy and super gross. My husband and I both just about lost our dinner when I pulled it out. Anyways, thank you so much breanna6627 for that link. I believe it saved my chickens life because there was no way she would have lived with all of that in her crop. She's doing fine right now. I am taking precautions to be sure she doesn't get an infection in the incision. I think she will be just fine now. Thanks again

She's doing pretty well today. I wasn't able to stick it and her crop and skin sealed together which I was trying to avoid but I can't get them apart so I'll just let it heal as is and hope that it doesn't bother her. She's eating great though. I have to limit it so she doesn't fill her crop too much
