My Pepper has had a sour crop for about three weeks now. We took her to the vet last week, he cleared her crop and did an xray and found no obstruction. He prescribed some probiotic and suggested we give her yogurt and mash. It is one week later and she her crop is still quite full in the morning. Hardly any poop, some runny white stuff. She drinks water but does not want to eat. She is so thin. Please help!

One of my hens is doing this too.

Pepper died this morning. I tried monistat, apple cider vinegar, yogurt, and egg yolk but we could not clear her sour crop.

My hen is very lethargic And closing her eyes. She drinks water and it just fills up her crop. When I pick her up, the water gushes out. It doesn’t smell sour. I’m not sure how to treat her.
How long has she been like this? When was the last time she really ate something?

Last night when I did my standard head count, she wasn’t roosted. I found her under my ICU box near the water. When I picked her up, her crop was full and she expelled a ton of water. Mostly clear. It doesn’t really smell and she seems very thirsty. It seemed to have come on sudden and progressing downhill quickly.

Let her expel a lot of liquid in her crop, just tilt her head down and let as much as you can come out. After you do that give her some Nutri-Drench. Then chill some coconut oil in the fridge and give her about 1 tablespoon and massage her crop for a couple minutes in a downward motion. After you do that give her some egg, cooked or raw, not too much though. After all of that give her miconazole, the dose is in this article.->
