I think Platys are beautiful, unique and truely wonderful.

I believe only the males have a venomous stinger on their hind feet - what incredible protection.


Plus they are mammals who lay eggs - amazing.

Ok, so maybe to people who have a weird love of platypus I'd be cool.

I think it's neat they lay eggs too, but I'd much rather not be compared to something so odd looking.


Personally I'd much rather be a frog.

Nope, I do not think they have a pouch - but it would be handy for carrying stuff around.


Eggs are incubated on their belly, clasped by their tails. The females actually burrow into a burrow to incubate their eggs.

The babies are called Puggles.

I have always thought they were super cool, ever since I was little. A mammal who lays eggs with a coat like a beaver, webbed feet and a bill "like" a duck - incredible.
