Just a quick intro,
Had lots of chickens when I was a little girl, just got back to raising them recently due to all the bad stuff I keep hearing about our food lately.
I've had a RIR/WhiteRock mix rooster and two mutt hens for a few years now.
Just purchased what looks like a miniature army of Wyandottes and Austrolorps free ranging my flower beds in the front yard
They are currently sleeping (just the babies!) in my living room in a very large box. We pick up a free BUD satellite dish (for the roof) in the morning so hopefully their new coop will be completed by the end of the weekend. (I'll post a picture or two when it's finished).

Eating the chickens' eggs is fantastic, they're so much better than store-bought! I'd love to see some pics of your chickens, your descriptions are too cute.
