WOW! It is still quiet on our thread!

I must say, I had a great New Year's! I have been married since '93 and we had our first ever New Year's Eve out together!

Todd does not drink at all, (although I will!), so we have always stayed home with Nicole and watched the ball drop, or as she got older and went out with friends, we would usually be asleep!

I had a great time....we saw a very very GREAT band!

In 22 years I have now been out as an adult without Nicole 2 times. Three if you count our trip to Clemson! Even when she would stay with Pop or her friends, we always just stayed home...maybe grab a burger or something, but nothing that did not involve a drive thru! I must be growing up finally!!

ETA: OK correction, I used to go out with some girls and have a girls night sometimes....but when I did, Nicole was home with Todd. If she was at a friend's I didn't go anywhere just in case she needed to call me or anything. Even now with cell phones, it is not a pretty sight when shorty cannot get an answer when she calls me.

I am glad everyone is still alive and well. I was getting worried yesterday when the board was so quiet! Lou Ann has now heard her first egg song. She said she thought a goose was in her pond and honking. Went looking and found Cagney in the run, at 6:15, making all kinds of noise. I told her that was the noise she had been WANTING to hear for so long. Hopefully, the song will get a little prettier, and the neighbors won't mind too much. Other than the egg song, Harriet, the Ameraucana is the noisiest of the bunch. She makes sure everyone knows she is there!
I loved the warm weekend, but think we are all going to be reminded it is January over the next few days. This coming weekend looks nice again.

I actually had a glass of wine this time around. However, within minutes I was sleepy and crashed at 10 pm but so did DD. We are just not party people, although when I was younger I was but am glad to have slowed down. It is hard to get up the next morning to do chores when you have spent most of the night partying.

For some reason I have been getting tons of emails lately. I suppose everyone has spring fever now and I am getting tons of inquiries for chickens and meal worms. I have several boxes of eggs and meal worms to go out tomorrow. Work, work, work. .....I need a raise!
