Wow! An hour away! I guess they will be coming home with you. I am sure the SO can handle the big birds but little ones are not always their specialty. We women (no offense to you men who do a good job) have that nurturing aspect that often keeps us motivated and a bit over protective of babies.
Which reminds me, I better get off my rump and out to clean brooders and unload a truck full of grain. I have customers starting in a few hours for eggs and mealies and tomorrow is already booked with folks coming from GA and NC for birds. I need to take the listing off of the FB SC swap thread. I have someone that laid claim to the ones I had listed. And selling more than I had planned to, again. LOL Such is the farm business! I can't complain. It pays that feed bill.

And keep looking on CL for a LGD. I have found numerous ads but haven't had any luck with getting one yet. People usually get to them before me but I take that to mean the right one for me has yet to come along. We answered lots of ads for small dogs and pups before we found Roxy and she is great! Already house broke, leash trained, knows some tricks and is still puppy enough to play and keep Leah active. God placed her with us for a reason!

Good luck!

Good luck!

Mom found one that is free.3-4 years old.The woman says she rescued him but he is chained in the pic and she knows very little about him...she has had him listed for a month,we have both emailed her and she emailed back but has yet to give further contact information??With her fixing to travel and the fact I don't think I want one that old I am sure we can pass along her email!I do better with training pups and my lazy non guard dog is actually a well trained boy! He has tons of tricks and once he gets over the first couple minutes of meeting a new person he settles down and is a good boy.He even knows not to come in the kitchen to beg if company is here, only when its just us! LOL I bet he is the only dog that knows the difference between asking loud and whispering and can do it!!

Well I had goats for about 5 mins...the lady contacted me and said the other guy fell through, that his number was disconnected and we set up the pick up,then she calls back a little while later and says he finally called her and she had been dialing his number wrong, that he was getting them?? Oh well....I offered vet refs and all but she wasnt worried about all that...hope they go to a good home!
