I bet you are about ready to kick them out of the house! That new pen will make them so happy! They love to stretch their wings and flutter around all happy. Yours started crowing long before mine but I have one that crows every night! They are quickly out growing the baby pen in the house.

What an awesome day for you all! I bet your kids loved it, too. This is the best experience ever! And it does seem as if the Angels were singing and God was smiling with that beautiful rainbow.
And let's not forget that Keeper was doing a fine job protecting her charges!

Susanne, the guineas will not mess with the turkeys! Turkeys make great watch dogs in the yard too. I'm really hoping that mine stay as sweet as they are through spring mating season. If so, I'll be keeping more. They are probably opposite of the guineas personality in that they are always underfoot. They seem to always want to be right with me when I'm in the yard. I had a customer today and the turkeys went right up to him to greet him. Tom had to show his tail feathers and his snood.

I gave them all pats on the head and they were satisfied to just follow us around. Very unusual birds.

Just went to your web page http://www.joyfulsoundsfarm.com/apps/videos/videos/show/10727515-percy-peacock
he is beautiful, but I was just wondering what happens in a strong wind? kind of like an umbrella?

Spent 1 1/2 hours there with her learning and listening. Beautiful birds, still trying to make decisions on what we are doing. probably placing a porters order then getting some of her eggs too. loved the place and VERY friendly people and birds.

She raises her turkeys for meat, is that what you're thinking of doing?

too soon to tell.

Just like an umbrella, his tail folds right up. Peacocks are very strong, no wind is going to blow them away.

I didn't know that, my vet was still treating just a few months ago. That is awful, why would any company want to remove something that is medically working and needed? People pay lots of money to have their pets treated so they surely were making money from it.

Guineas don't get underfoot? Someone need to tell mine! They follow me everywhere. Especially when I first come out. I'd love to go visit that farm. Do they sell eggs/poults?
