Lauren, I'm so sorry about the cocci. I don't know what to do about it but I'm sure thankful that I've never had it here. I hope you find something that will work to save your chickens.

I was playing catch up and saw this...I got home about 10:30...we had to pick up DD from her "date" and we hit up some Sonic...the Amers are all settled in!! I will do pics tomorrow!! I think I took some favs...esp of the roos!! But Roos like the big healthy gals and so do I !!! For those who have never met Mr.Jack...it is a must...my head is spinning from all I learned today!! And I found a new breed...if I can remember what it was called...the big white babies!! And Speckled Sussex,pics do not show how pretty they are! Oh and the pheasant...WOW!! And his B/B/S Amers are the biggest I have ever seen!! Amazing birds!! And the Wheatens are mine...all mine...hehehehe!!! Oh my goodness I could go on all night but have babies in bator to move out to brooders...and house to clean after the dogs had a chew fest!

BTW: Hi Jenny...you will love these guys and gals!!

d'Anver boy is doing really well! When I was trying to switch them back into their "hospital cage" last night he flew out of the little carrier they were in and landed smack into DH! lol! I think he's feeling a lot spunkier! I have high hopes he will make a recovery!

OH! I GOT MY FIRST CALL DUCK EGG!!!!
Problem is I already have some chicken eggs in the bator and I know you have to incubate duck eggs differently! What to do?!? I can't waste any call duck eggs!

I keep praying one of my chickens will go broody lol...I'm gonna wait and give her the chance to maybe decide to go broody and sit on her own eggs. I brought the one egg inside for the time being though. I just CANNOT waste a call duck egg....and I want ducklings so bad! I need my brinsea incubator to hurry up and ship!! eeekk

I have spent a decent day answering emails, selling on line a good bit and getting the most wonderful back rub from my darling hubby while trying to read a book. That didn't work as a back rub is the most awesome of gifts. NOW I remember why I married him. LOL
I got 2 new Pekin ducks last night and this morning they gave me two huge delightful eggs. Thanks to Debora for bringing them over at 10:30 last night.

Now back to my book because all my chores are done and I am selling on line more now than receiving customers. Frees my time up a lot more and I actually make more to give back to the feed store. LOL
