Quote: It can be really hard to raise wild creatures. There is just something in the wild that we, as humans, can not duplicate sometimes. I know you did all you could and to the best of your ability but you did a major miracle just to hatch them! I think you did a great job getting them as far as you did and I am sure there wasn't anything anyone could have done better!
You rock, Sam Bam!

Just wanted to pop over and say HI! I'm in NC 45mins from Greenville. I used to live in the Greer/taylors area till 5yrs ago! I met Patsy, Dixiebeast, SouthernBee and Westknoll at chickenstock :frow.
Patsy- the little americuana/EEs I got from you are so sweet and growing fast!
SouthernBee- the blue orp pair I got from you is just gorgeous, the little pullet unfortunatly past away on saturday :( she was perfectly fine :idunno so I will definitly need to make a trip your way to get another girl or chicks or eggs! ;)

Hope everyone has a good day!

Wildriverwolf, welcome. Sam, you did all you could, so sorry the wild birds didnt make it. Dee lockdown, and in a day or so you hopefully will have your hatch. So exciting. Amy thanks, I am excited to get started, but it wont really start till next year. But with Sams goldnecks maybe Bride can come home soon.

Kris: I'm so happy for y'all getting your d'Anvers. I'm on Aubrey's waiting list for a couple dozen eggs right now. So hopefully I'll have some by next year as well!

Sam: I already said it on fb but I am SO sorry about the baby birds. I know how hard you were trying to raise them. I know that must be so disappointing.

On a happy note I am FINALLY having some good luck with my chickens!! My broody blue orp "Paisley" hatched 3 call ducks and 1 dom/blue orp mix. She had gotten off the nest so I grabbed the 3 remaining chicken eggs and stuck them in the incubator. And guess what!? One of them is hatching right now! It's a bcm/blue orp mix. And every one of them are going to be GIRLS LOL...one can hope right?? Anyways, I also think I've gotten my incubator temperature issue corrected. What the lady at Brinsea told me to do worked thank goodness. I still think I'll email them and let them know the initial problems I had with temperature. They need to know so maybe they can tell people to double check the thermastat with another thermometer so they don't waste so much on eggs like I did. YAYY babiessss! I'll post pics soon! They are SO very cute!

I Haven't posted pics of my MF'uDccles Chickens in a while..So I wanted to share a few.

Hey!!! Glad you popped over to visit us again! Glad to hear the EE's are doing good and I know they are happy because of your love and care!!! They get sweeter with age too! I love them also! I changed my roo in with the girls so now I will be getting true Wheaton Ameraucanas from those girls! Have the first hatch about a week old and they are really fluffy cuties too! A few go into lockdown Saturday so wish me luck! With the weather swings this spring I have had really bad luck on the hatching...
