Hey HEY hey!!! Just wanted to let any of you know that...
I will have MFd"Uccle hatching eggs this spring. They have a 99%fertile rate and 98%hatch rate. So if you are somebody you know whats any, just let me know. Asking $10 for 1/2 dozen but it will probably be more like 8-10eggs. And These MF'Uccles also have procelain in their bloodline for you could get a few of those. These are from the CongaLine.
Here's pics of the parents.

So if want any....Just keep me in mind and let me know this spring. That's when the eggs will, a be a, flowin!!!
Beautiful birds Yancy!

I bet they will be flow-n sooner than that as mine are starting to lay now here on the coast(well, at least they were before this cold spell

).

Here are 2 egg colors of chicks I just hatched out yesterday. Ameraucanas and Olive Eggers. The Olive Egger is the one that was laying almost black eggs when she first started laying. As you can see the egg color is still not very olive but I bred her back to my blue Ameraucana roo that hatched from a blue blue egg. She is a splash, their kids have a bright future here, I hope!

Here are some more that hatched this morning. These are still in the hatcher. The blue one is still attached to the olive egg.
My brooder is filling up and I don't remember setting all these eggs. LOL

Amy, they are so beautiful! You will have to post more picture as they grow!

Hey y'all! So I am posting this on facebook and here so sorry if you see it twice!! Hoping to get some advice! My neighbor called me over the other day and said that he had an incubator to give me. I took it and said thanks! I have a styrofoam LG. Now I have a round metal Brower. So he did hatch in it a LONG time ago. It is dirty and there were even shell bits still in it. Any tips on how best to clean it? I plugged it in and it turned on. Any experience with brower incubators? Anything I should know? I am going to do a search on any kind of instructions but this thing is pretty ancient! Thanks!

OK it looks like it is pretty simple. I am thinking of doing a test hatch--put some eggs in my lg and put some eggs in my Brower. The last two hatches in my LG have been a bust. Should be fun!!! Anyone have some interesting extra eggs??? LOL! I have collected 4 eggs from my own chickens and hope to collect a few more over the next few days. This will be the first time I have tried to hatch my own eggs. However these are pullet eggs still so I don't know how well they would do under the best of situations. I am a little worried the old thing will burn down my house--but hopefully not! lol!

My flock is very happy to have a dry day to enjoy!! Can you spot the badly molting wyandotte?

I love my two teenage toms. These are the royal palm x bourbon red babies I bought at chickenstock, they've grown a bunch! They're steadily losing their brown, lacy looking baby feathers and getting almost black shimmery ones in. They're so lonely though, showing off to the chickens and each other. They gobble at absolutely everything. I can talk to them, and they answer with gobbling! I really want to get some hens for them, maybe some bronze. I wonder what, with their genetics, their chicks would look like? Would their mixed heritage pop up?

His funky wing is the result of me clipping them a couple of weeks back in a failed attempt to keep them in their pen, and some of the feathers are growing back in.

I have D'anver eggs. and the others we have a re wyandotte/ production red. but they are mixed breed, there may be a few wyandotte eggs that are pure.

Yancy you birds are beautiful and should be giving you really nice babies.
Rockerhen, love you pics too. our birds were so happy to be out in the sunshine too. THe turkeys look like std bronze most;y, I would would expect with std bronze hens you will have std bronze looks. but it would be interesting. As for the toms gobbleing at everything, thats what all of ours do here, and they have girls. any loud noisy gobble, and they strutt all the time around us, girls or not. so they have normal behavior.
