That stuff is not cheap anywhere. Not a big difference in price really that I know......unless you are a good customer to a "private owned" feed store that loves ya enough to order you some welded wire at cost.

It runs just a few dollars difference between TSC and Lowes I think.

I do have a wonderful husband, it's true.

And he lets me keep chickens in our backyard, and he has built pens. I just figure, since I have so many roosters...who will end up in freezer camp shortly unless they replace an old one who needs to be retired..... And then he can build a pen so that I can start to keep BLRW!! Doesn't that make more since? The good of the many outweigh the need of the one??

I so love Mr. Boots!! He makes me laugh every day. When he sees me coming to the run, he starts clucking and hopping around getting all excited- it is the cutest thing! And he is such a gentleman. All the girls like him! I think once this batch of eggs gets done in the incubator I might try and hatch some of his and see what happens.

School was long. I hit your neck of the woods about 10:20 ish and got home at 11. Maybe we can make plans to go grab a bite to eat together one Thursday before I go to class.

Oh, to be down where you all are and smell the sea salt!

Hear the waves crashing to shore, see the gulls flying around and complaining about sand in my....er, toes.

I am so hoping to go to Charleston in Sept. Still waiting on the insurance adjuster to decide if they will pay for our new furnace and AC wiring.

Yup!! Doing that rt now. Humidity ranges from 35- 40% without adding water. Ive candled several times, and everything seems to be developing on schedule. No problems. The reason I chose to do it this time was b/c when it came time to add more water, I had trouble getting it to increase enough. My thinking is there should most def be an increase in humidity when going from zero to some vs. some to more.

I didn't put water in mine either. Set this batch June 20 th and they are developing just fine from what I can tell- It's my first time

I had to take the water out because the humidity was staying at 65%. Without the water it's staying at 40 %. I plan to add water the last three days.
