My chickens had slowed on thier egg laying because of the heat. I wasn't too worried about it as I still have 3 dozen eggs in the fridge. So I didn't even think to check for eggs yesterday when I did my usual chicken chores. A little while ago, I heard egg song and went out to see ...

19 eggs were waiting for me! I'm so tempted to throw them all in the incubator! LOL

Ha! It was great! Sold some ducks Mille fluer project pairs, silver laced bantam Cochin pairs. And more I'm sure I'm forgetting. Crazy though how many small breed types were for sale: saw tons of japs, old English, seramas, etc. Someone couldn't not get rid of her peafowl and they were about half grown and only $30!!!
 
Does anyone (if interested) have sumatras on the s.c thread? I have a splash khaki pullet o was thinking of trading for hatching eggs or another pullet.I also have three MF cochin hens I was thinking about doing the same with.the sumatra was a lone hatch and my MF roo died from crop impaction.if anyone might be interested please pm me.we could work out details and I can send pics.
