Bator is still holding perfect!! YAY!!!

Got my first quail egg! Good thing, 'cause my cochins aren't laying yet, and the others girls are all going through a molt. I haven't had eggs in about a week! Slackers! I think they just decided the weather was too nice to work. That's all right, planning on bringing in some new RIR chicks in the next week or two and get them started.

I take my final algebra test tomorrow and then, because I love torture I move on to algebra 2. Funny enough, if you replace all the letters with chickens- you actually can figure out chicken math!!!

My Big Girls Laid in the metal nestbox TODAY!!!!!! I was so scared it would take forever, but I guess they where jealous about Lucy beating them to it!!!

emptynester, I am so glad someone is learning how to do that chicken math!

The weather has been so great that I have actually got a lot of work done to the place, even with people coming and going and egg deliveries and the usual chores.

Here is what I finally finished....

Got the top permanently put on AND the ducks moved in AND made the gate and got it attached!

Not only did I get that gate done but I made another one on the Just Peachy duck coop........

And the weather is just so absolutely beautiful and I love being out in it constantly that I have the other side of the Just Peachy duck coop gate made, too. I know, it looks funny but I am using 2x2's and scrap lumber to keep costs down. I should get it finished and hung in the morning between a few egg customers that I get on Thursdays.
Tomorrow afternoon I have an important date so I won't get anything more done.

I hope you all are able to get out and soak up this wonderful weather. Friday I start putting tarps and canvas on my coop for winter. That wind the other day reminded me I have to get it done quickly now!

Amy I wanna get to work on more pens!!! And boy that is chicken math at its best...sell hatching eggs and a week later already planning on getting some chicks back!!LOL
BTW...my mom now has 4 new lil chicks...her gal is off the eggs and fiercely guarding her babies!!
