South Carolina

Nope. I haven't changed prices since last spring.  $8/chick if picked up, $130/12 if shipped, including shipping.  Eggs are $35/dozen, shipping included. Same prices for a couple of years, actually, except that I didn't ship before getting my NPIP card.

Besides, I can't really take any credit for Saturday - none of those birds were bred here.  Now...what I show this fall will ALL be Sand Castles Farm bred birds.  That's when the fun begins!  lol

Showmanship!!! You deserve a lot of credit for presentation. I've read there's a lot of work getting a bird ready for show.

Silkies are a true bantam, there is no LF pure Silkie.

Thank you! I thought they were bantam and didn't know about a LF version. Now I know. Lol

Dockside is some of the best seafood in the state. Gotta say, I prefer Port Royal :thumbsup
Oz is right, no LF Silkies, though they are a larger bantam

It's no secret for the locals either(even though I'm not really one) Port Royal is better than Lady's island.

Let's go! I'll buy the seafood as my guide fee for a fishing trip. Trout should be turning on soon

Trout have been on since December. But reds are schooled up now in packs. My favorite is flounder. But I like gigging and it's a little cold for that now....

That's what drives me crazy gigging. Wouldn't it be nice to hit them when the water is crystal clear? :gig

It's almost cheating if you run into reds on a cold day the last week or two of the gigging season. Water is usually clear and they are slow. With Flounder its always cheating. They just sit there most of the time. It's rare to miss a flounder IF you see it. Big IF sometimes.
Newer lights make it easy too. But I've been out there with 100W house bulbs and made it happen.

I don't go to fill a boat, I'll go to get dinner for a couple nights a week then go out next week too. I know some people who won't go for three weeks and eat fish almost the whole time....

With all that rain and flooding upstream I've slowed down on my seafood. I'll give it a few more months yet till cobia :):)

Yep, then you can walk across the Broad under the 170 bridge bow to bow :gig

My oldest daughter used to live on the Broad just above the bridge. I got into kayak fishing a while back but didn't get to fish there before she moved. We did get to kayak in the midst of feeding dolphins near the Pinckney Refuge though. I love Beaufort more than any other coastal city in SC.

Me too. It's an awesome little town
