South Carolina

I know Luann has some Silkie chicks in black and I think she showed the father of them, whom she got from me. I can't tell you if they are SQ or not as I do not show.
She is on BYC under Luann Keller.
There are a few people in NC with some chicks for sale and I think they say they are SQ but I can't say if they are on BYC because I am on the NCPoultry2 list with them.

Hi,
I too have just found this site. It seems great so far. I live near Greenville and have just got started with a few chickens. A few weeks ago a friend gave my son(age 12) a small bantam rooster( DRUMSTICK){I know, once you name them you can never eat them!}
I found a great hen with (10)new chics at the flea market. I'm pretty sure she is a Sicilian Buttercup(GUESS WHAT HER NAME IS? LOL). Buttercup and her(9) chicks are doing very well. She has only one black one that I think might be a necked neck. I've been starting rumors that my chickens consume tons of fire ants everyday.

The neighborhood has ask if I will put a few in each yard!

Hi ya'll,

I have way too many roosters, free to BYCers who want them. I'm in Hollywood, but I can meet you in Charleston or Beaufort if it's easier for you. They are RIR x Partridge Cochin, BO x same and RIR x same. All have the feathered legs and are 14 weeks old. Happy and healthy birds, thought not lap tamed.

A couple of pics:
These are the EE x Cochin.

Aren't they purty?
PM me if you're interested, thanks!

They are very purty, indeed! But no more roos for me.
Don't you just hate that you have to get rid of all the pretty roosters? DH loves the roos but they are too much for us to keep.
