Thats great, I want to try to build a bator, but haven't got to that level yet. Are you looking to sell chicks in the future or are you just hatching for your own use.

I am experiencing chicks for the first time! It's so fun. I have raised 10 silkies and they are now out in the coop at 8 wks old. I have 5 white silkies, one ShowGirl, 3 French Copper Marans, and 5 Ameraucaunas that are 2 weeks old out in my garage. And I have 14 eggs in the incubator that should hatch this week. Most look good as far as I can tell! They are frizzled cochins and sizzles. My husband is freaking out a little! I keep hearing "How many chickens are you going to have?" I have an RCom 20 incubator and it's super easy. Got a great deal on it too. Can't wait to see if we get some chicks!

Are y'all ready for some snow????

Nadine!! I'm North of Greer in Blue Ridge and thought I was going to have a hard time finding others in my immediate area. I'm just getting into chicken-addiction and have a batch coming from MPC that will be staying at a friends house in Ftn Inn, but I'm wanting to start a coop at my house, too.

Maybe we can get together sometime.

I'd like to see your flock and get some visuals on how to set up a coop.

Susanne -

I just visited your website and what a great looking place. That is one fancy chicken coop. Lol. The goat kids are just darling and I love the donkeys. I'm trying to find a mini for my farm, but so far they are proving to be VERY expensive.

Alanna, We inherited the goats and the donkeys. I'd love to raise miniature goats and donkeys! I'm scared of the horns on these goats! They aren't really friendly. Now that we've gotten rid of our mule, the donkeys are becoming friendly. I love the coop! Glad you like the blog!

Anytime you want to visit Alanna, please do not hesitate. I am in the Holly Springs community off of 357.

Two Chicks... Welcome to the craziness..... I have some roosters if you would like to have them. They are EE's and I have RIR also.

Hey Enola!
I do not have any grown dark egg layer roos left. I sold most of them and the rest I put in the freezer.
I have a Jersey Giant roo that is going in the freezer soon and a few EE roos left to go.

I am hatching out Marans chicks and so far I know I have a splash Marans roo chick out of a nice dark egg. I don't care for the splash so I don't plan to keep this boy. If you want him, let me know. They are cheaper when they are young like this.
