Joy! Stop reminding me you have peafowl! I so would love to have a pair. Just for looks! However, I would have to keep them penned and I don't want to put that much expense into a huge run for them. But gosh! They are so beautiful and I love to listen to them.

i just got back from sally s.c. i left this morning looking for gary and all i new was his first name and about where l he lives 11 miles from spingfield. i stopped and asked 3 diffrent people, and no one knew him. i told myself self you have just took a long joy ride. and stopped at one more house told my son that we have come along way for nothing but as luck goes this was gary. i had been trying his phone all week to find out it was not working. but anyhow i was happy just to find him. i bought a trio of wheaton americuanas, and 30 americauna eggs. and they are 12 blue wheaton americaaunas, 11 black over black, blue, and splash, and 7 buff americaunas eggs now i do not think a undertaker can get the smile off my face i am so happy

Gary is great to do business with. I always love his birds. I just hatched a few BLRW from him. Most of my Araucanas came from him years ago. He just gave me 8 hens and 2 roos! He is so neat to talk with and get info from.

He does live out in the middle of nowhere! I asked him to tie a ribbon to his mailbox for me because going down that road all you see is miles of fields and an occasional mailbox. None had numbers on them and I did not own a GPS back then. I did have a cell phone and asked him to tie something to his mailbox and lo, he tied a big pink ribbon to it! You could see it a long way back down the road. LOL

I know you will love his birds and you have a great flock now!

^^^ me today ^^^

Rough weekend. Horse collicking......vet did not hold out hope for her to even make it through Friday night.
Heart rate almost triple what it should have been, her age, reflux going on, severity of it, and not responding to the first shot as she should have, and a couple other things were working against her.

Her looking so great for her age (25 next month), being otherwise extremely healthy, and at least one of us willing to walk her all night if need be, and three shots helped her tremendously. Walking her over 3 hours straight without stopping (by DH and his bro) helped a LOT too!

Now I am still worn slap out. Been this way all day! Will catch up with everyone tomorrow!

Kimberly, I am so glad the old girl is doing better. I worried about her and you guys all Friday night. I hate the colic! Our old man has done it a few times the past few years. The older he gets the harder everything is for the old guy.

Yancy, them babies is getting so big! So far I think they still look like girls but what do I know?
