I swear...if I bid on more eggs I am going to wring my own neck!

I just sent home chicks I hatched for a friend but she left me 5 Silkie chicks from it. Two blues, 2 whites and a silver. Geez! Even when not hatching my own I still wind up with chicks.

That's okay. I do love those evil Silkies. I have a bunch of Silkie eggs on the way. Like I need them. And I have a lot of d'Uccle eggs coming and already in the bator. That will be an adventure. Almost getting too small for me but I wanted to try them. Joy adores hers.

And I have a lot of Ameraucana eggs in black, blue and lavender growing in the bator. I wanted color and I was bored with Welsummers, Barnvelders and other breeds all hatching out the same. Beautiful birds but kinda boring when looking in the brooders.

I tell you, if you all ever get the chance to get beautiful Ameraucana eggs get some from dak. Her eggs were so beautiful they were fairly glowing on the kitchen table. The color has cooled down some as I noticed when I showed Chickychickybaby the other day. But still they have to be the cleanest brightest eggs I have ever seen!

Who else is sick of rain and mud?

So glad you rescued him! He's beyond cute!

Rain & mud = wet silkies. Wet silkies = UGLY.

Especially the ones with the poufy crests. So bad. Hope they get a chance to dry out before the next rain hits us on Wednesday.

I would say that would be more for me, but since I decided to not get food just for myself, I lost a ton of weight. . .everyone else here likes the same things over and over, boooring!
Hubby was working on the coop some more- He's getting it ready for our big chicks, so they can go in there while we are out of town. . .It should be interesting taking 4 bins of chicks to my mom's.
