I think it is going to be here any min., and my babies refuse to go up. I get 1 in the coop and the 3 run out.

I just backed up a page and read about all the losses. Sorry, everyone! I hate hate hate these stupid predators. And yes, hawks will definitely return day after day if they know they can get a kill. As I said, I lost over 25 hens to it before I locked them up. He would just wait in a tree until one went off alone and then kill. It's so frustrating. And it seems like they are getting more and more bold.

Jerk predators.

Where can you buy the capsules of selenium from? I think I may have a chick that has the same problem...I work at an animal hospital so I'm going to check and see if we have the injectable first.

I got it at a Health Food Store. I just started pulling capsules apart and putting it on their food! I hope it works at great as the injection.!!

OK 48hr Update and NaddyBlue is about 95% Better! Pictures to provide it plus the others in my MiniFlock!!!

NaddyBlue actual running and scratching around with all the other girls...she's so much better.

All of the MiniFlock including NaddyBlue and a blurry PumPum under the Almond tree(their playground)

I love, love, love your photos!

I won't bore you all with the shower I had outside while trying to get everyone put up and the ducklies caught and put in a brooder. Kimberly, tell Nicole all the babies are safe now but mama ducks left bruises on my legs and arms!

One heck of a storm but I think all is safe and sound for now.

MoonChild -- PumPum is bearded! She looks like a very nice Polish hen--do you need a rooster to go with her? I know just where a few can be found!

MoonChild -- All my polish are from this season so I really do not know as of yet. I can tell you that I have 3 different hatchings from 3 different breeders and my first 2 pens seem very sweet--I love them! Now my last batch I hatched are totally different from the first 2 and I have not decided what to think about them. The difference in the last batch though from the first two is that the last batch do not have the full crests. Thus they can see better. I just don't find them as fun or as sweet and the sad thing is they are my blues!
