Lou Ann and I are not bringing anything and there is no room to add space at her house. Until my DH thinks chickens would be a good idea at our house, we are at capacity, sooo, no chickens coming home with us. However, we are bringing a friend that seems to have a case of chicken math right now, so we are going to enjoy watching her try to decide what kind of chicken(s) she might want.

I did not come home with too many, LOL!

One of the folks I met yesterday here at the farm is a BYC person but he doesn't visit this thread. I told him to come join us over here. He came and bought my Marans pair I had put up for sale. He saw me chatting on another thread and looked up my website and saw what I had for sale. It was what he wanted so he went home with a beautiful pair and is ready to get started on raising more Marans.
I don't know what he goes by here on BYC but I hope he comes on in and puts his feet up and introduces himself.

I love all the photos of what people got yesterday! Some real cuties! It sounds like a fun time was had by all.

I have been meaning to ask about this, but keep forgetting. Where on the trail will the store be? Sounds exciting!

On Cedar Lane right near those cotton mill apartments. I went inside last Thursday and it's going to be soooooooo cute!

Joy says it isn't too hard to get the license and they don't go poking their nose into stuff on your farm so I may get mine and see about moving some duck eggs. Once my new girls get into laying I will once again have them coming out my ears. Last winter and spring I was ready to quack from eating so many and of course, the folks at the Food Pantry were very happy to get them but I need to sell them to buy more feed to help the girls make more eggs.
With 38 female ducks I think I will gather a few every day. For some reason local people do not think ducks eggs would be good. I sample them out when I remember so people can share the goodness of another species that lays delicious eggs.

I gave Mary, the co owner a few of your duck eggs Amy and she swooned. :)

That is a brilliant move by someone. Everyone has been opening things on the trail in TR. It will be good to see it bring business to that part of Greenville. It could play a huge rood in revitalizing that section of town.

I can guarantee you I will have duck eggs coming out by the buckets if my ducks continue like that have been and like last winter. Plus all the new girls that will start laying in another 6-8 weeks. Their eggs won't be as huge as some I gave you but duck eggs are still pretty awesome. And by next spring they will be huge.

A lady came and bought a bunch of my BLRW chicks yesterday morning and I sampled her out some duck eggs. She had never eaten any so I hope she enjoys them and comes back for more.
So far they are, by far, my favorite egg. As soon as I figure out where Guinea Girl is laying I want to try Guinea eggs. I am sure my babies won't produce until next spring in the pen they will be going in so I have to try and hunt down the free rangers nest. Oh, boy! They are all over the place! I can't watch them that well.
