It was like these?
The brown was is from one of my Cuckoo Marans but the other 2 are fart eggs I found in nest boxes. I always get a kick out of finding those funny long or odd shaped ones!

I think of them as my giggle of the day when I find one. Sometimes I find them in the grow up pen when the girls start laying. It lets me know it is time to move them!

Hi all! I have not been on in a while. Frist of all Amy, your girls are doing great with Henry. I havent posted any pictures because my camera broke. Wow it has been a stressful 2 weeks. I reacted to a tentus shot the doctor gave me. My glands under my arm swelled to the point where I couldnt stand for anything to touch it. Carrying buckets to feed aminals was not fun. Then my younger son decided to ask his girlfriend to marry him. Talk about being stressed out. He is 20. He goes to school full time with straight A's and works 40 to 45 hours a week but he is so young. I tried not to cry too hard. Then yesterday morning I was feeding in the rain and went to feed my 5 ducks and Daisy my favorite was missing. I found her dead in the goat pasture. Needless to say I was crying the whole time I finished up feeding. We have yet to figure out how she got there. When I got back in the house I got chilled and then started running a temp of 101. Then a hour later my son came home from work throwing up and a hour after that his girlfriend stopped by a she had a temp. of over 100. It was one of those days where you want to run to the bed and stay there the rest of the day but you cant because you are the mom and have to take care of everyone eles.

Okay I finished my sob story and so far today everything seems to be back on track.

It is awful that you all are sick! How terrible.

This weather being off and on gets a lot of folks and animals sick. It runs down the immune system so that germs have a harder time being fought off. Homemade chicken noodle soup and drink the broth. Really a great help when sick like that. And I add lots of garlic, too! I eat it once a week, at least. Yummy! Don't forget plenty of liquids! Juice!

Sorry about your sweet duck. You had such a horrid day and losing a beloved pet makes it so much worse.

I was afraid your DS was going to get around to popping the question before he finished college.

Maybe they will put off the wedding until after he graduates but 20 is a time of doing what you want and forgetting some of the things you have learned. He sounds like a good fella and I am sure he and his GF will do just fine together. And they will be there to help you out in your old age....waaaaayyyy in the future.

Never heard those odd little eggs called fart eggs prior to message boards. We always called them 'Fairy Eggs'.

I had heard them called fairy eggs as well but DH could not get over the fact that they were called fart eggs by others and laughed every time I brought one in so I got in the habit of saying fart eggs. That makes a lot more sense to me than fairy eggs but not as cute.
