Looks like the City of Spartanburg finally said yes. Those who live there have to wait until July to get their chickens, but that just means they can build some nice coops!

It is so much fun to own chickens, though some do not consider Silkies real chickens. You can't tell that to my two pens of them. They get down in the dirt and roll like the other birds. Good luck finding some hens to go with your boy. I think this is a good time of year to find hens available as a lot of folks are thinning out flocks.

(cough) I picked up another chicken tractor yesterday. Didn't mean to but it was being sold and looked cool and was cheap enough. It took me about 2 hours to put something in it after I sprayed the hound out of it with Kleen Green. Where do I find all these birds to put in more tractors?

With it going to be a pretty day I guess I will try to work on more chicken condos. That is a project I have put off far too long. I am sure eventually I will fill them up so I better get going on it now. The weather won't stay this gorgeous for long.

It is looking like the weather on Sat. may be a bit nippy but sunny for the Morganton show so I am planning on heading up for that. I have a few birds to take and sell but not like back in August when we went to the chicken stock up in NC. But with less to sell means I have more time to look at what is FOR sale.

I know DH will want any Ameraucanas or EEs he can find.
I brought in a new olive egg the other day and he loved it! He said Go Army!
