Calling all egg layers!!!! Swamp Rabbit Cafe needs more wholesale dozens as well as eggs for their bakery. If you can, please pm me for more info. You do NOT need a liscense if you sell to their bakery.

Yeah, I have to keep turning them down on eggs because I have regular customers and other buyers closer to home. I sell them some but not as many as they ask for so it would be great if others could join in.​

And yeah, it is cold weather but I can work in this better than in hot weather so it isn't so bad for me. My fingers don't do as well but I can at least breathe.
I start out with a sweat shirt on over a T-shirt but before chores are half finished in the morning I have pulled it off. Of course, the brooder room is a bit warmer and working under those heat lamps cleaning the cages warms me up. I try to do it last so my fingers can use the heat to be able to feel when collecting eggs. I get so mad when I drop eggs because I can't feel them. I used to love putting fresh laid warm eggs in my pockets so I could wrap my fingers around them but wound up with yuck in my pockets when I would forget about them and smash them.

I need to get in the kitchen now and cut up deer and put away in the freezer. Our DD's boyfriend brought us most of one after a friend shot one yesterday. After they cleaned it and starting cutting it up they realized they had no room for it in their freezer! Hallelujah for us since DH lost his job on Friday. Between the deer, ducks and chicken we may have food for a while.

no, I didn't.... was going to take my Buff Orp cockerel but in the end just went to watch....... i did bring home a porcelain silkie chick and a partridge cockerel for a young girl who is just getting started with silkies.......

I am looking for some pullets (partridge silkie) if anyone has one to sell................
