I never thought I would love my Guineas as much as I do. I was down in the barn a few minutes ago to collect eggs before heading back up to the house and about 25 Guineas had to follow me in to see what I was doing. I do not feed them in there, they do not even sleep on that side of the barn but they had to join me and talk me through it all.

Cryp, my lav Guinea girl that was in the shell too long, slept out on the barn roof the other night. DH and I tried to get her to come down to go to bed but she refused. I was so afraid an owl or early morning hawk would get her but she was fine and last night I made sure I got her penned before feeding time. She has been escaping the trampoline. I need to get them moved over but rearranging birds is such a hard task for me.
DH wanted me to put her down but she hobbles around fine, will probably lay eggs fine and if she had been a he then I would have had to but being a girl is a plus. Her only worry is when everyone roosts but her. That may be why she slept on the roof. The new pen will have to have a shelf for her. Like she will use it! You know how stubborn they can be!

My only white guinea has messed up feet from being in the shell too long but she has learned to roost on the bigger limb we have in the pen. Is it possible yours could do that? She has the funniest looking feet but gets around very well. She is only here because of her feet--I have gotten rid of all my other whites.

I just tried to Google it. Is it the one in Anderson? Does anyone have a link to it?

Please pray for no severe storms. Cole's gone until late Friday. I do NOT need to deal with any drama without him!!

It
would be great if you came, too! This link has info on it and Matt was kind enough to link the directions, even though he won't be attending this one.

I am not sure what time we will get there. Kimberly is picking me up and then we are going on to pick Jackie up and head that way so I am sure we won't make it before 9 am. Poor Nicole is not an early riser for events like this so we will have to see how early we can bounce her out of bed.

Terry has an interview right now so if he gets hired on then I will be ready to spend money if I see something I like. Otherwise I have to control my spending. (They need a smiley poking out it's lower lip!)

You decided they needed food and wather while in the bator? That sounds like something I have done.....the food part anyway.

Chicks are fine up to 2-3 days in the incubator without either. I know my broodies hatch chicks and it is 2-3 days before they eat or drink.

Acorns are for deer hunting...to put out if you hunt an area without oaks as an attractant!!

of course Baiting deer in is illegal in Sc.. so I dont suggest trying it.. my husband knew a guy that did and wheww they ripped him a new one... hugh fines and they confiscated his riffles big big.. serious punishment..

My horses love acorns
. but they get a lot of gas from them.

Shhhhhhhh I prefer craigs list.

I took over one of our dogs kennels.......DH had hooked the house on the outside of it, so it does not take up space. I hate he cut the wire to do it, but it gave our dog more room to run & kept her from getting on the house to get out.......now there are ducks & my layers in there for the winter - and they cannot roost ON the house since it is outside the run........ it is 10x20x6
I got a good deal on CL on one that is 10x10x4 and it has silkies in it.......

Yes, but often by the time I call on Craig's List Listings they are already gone--reason I had put a wanted ad on there.

I lucked out on the silkie one..i saw it as soon as it was posted.

All our roosters are sold now - with a back up buyer on stand by.

Now to sell some pullets. 7 month old black sex links!
