I wish I could make another show but I already have appointments set up for Sat.
Dalton GA is a bit further drive than Winston Salem but there will be more variety shown and possibly higher numbers at Dalton.

But if you go to Dalton, you won't see me!! Gavin................

Ha! You teach me stuff about Silkies all the time! I may never show them but I still like trying to keep good quality pets.

I do not know that much. I know what I like when I see them, and I know what I would show or breed.

ETA: Silkies is all I know about though!

I miss you & Allison! I love you two! I think I would like to try Dalton - I plan on showing at that one next year.

I will probably put one in the Barnwell show - I have my eye on 3 though.

Jackie B. :

I got a pair of 8 week old black giant cochins and a trio of Mille fleur d'anvers!!! What an awesome birthday pressie to go to a chicken show!

And I also found out I'm expecting my own little chick to hatch in July. Eek!

It was great meeting you and congrats on your own little "chick"!! And I'm super jealous of your mille fleur d'anvers! If you decide to sell any eggs...this girl wants some! I had such a great time at the show! It was great getting to chat with everyone and meet new people. I was expecting to see mostly OEGB so I wasn't disappointed. The few silkies that were there were GORGEOUS though. I also loved the seabrights. It was the first time I'd ever seen the little Cornish chickens and ohh my gosh they looked like little cartoon characters! So cool! I resisted and didn't make any purchases but definately have plans to get my hands on a pair of crele OEGB and definately gonna work on getting me some d'anvers! Overall it was a great time! Can't wait for the next show!

Well...finally, my storage shed has somewhat been finished into a coop. Obviously there's still a lot of work I want to do (paint, adding "trim" in some spots to make it prettier, new wood and tin on the roof) BUT I can put chickens in it now!! And that is all that matters! LOL..considering all I spent on it was about $25 worth of wood, $35 on wire (and didn't use nearly all of it), and whatever I spent in hinges and a gallon of paint, I don't think I did too bad! Thank goodness DH helped me out..I am NO builder!!

SO who all is going to the Barnwell show? I think I have an addiction to shows...I'm thinking about going since I'm off work!

Great meeting you too! I'd be more than happy to get you some hatching eggs once everyone gets situated and comfy and starts laying for me. I'll pm you once I got a half dozen or so :)
