It may be on the current 30 egg auction. I was wanting to wait for him to put up another one! But I don't have patience.

My wife will probably shoot me! I'm going to wait until tomorrow night when its closer to ending before I bid, though. Are you looking to get some more eggs from him and hope for better luck?

I really like the looks of his birds and probably will but I want to wait until after the Christmas season. I am afraid with all the shipping of packages right now that I would get some of the same--scrambled! He really does have some nice birds. Or if you buy some eggs from him and get a hatch I might have to get some eggs from you later!! Right now I would be really happy if I got a hen and a rooster from the eggs I have in the incubator~

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I'm thinking the same thing when it comes to the christmas shipping AND just needing a hen and a roo! I'll let you know what the outcome is!

So John, what do you think of your Delawares as a laying bird? Are they mellow? How would they be around a 2 1/2 year old?

I LOVE EM!!! They lay really well for being young as they are. They are very friendly and talkative. They walk beside my lab and follow me around the yard just like a dog.! I would def always recommend this breed for ppl that have young kids. My niece and nephews love them as well!

I think Kimberly was taking a black Silkie pullet and I am not sure if she was taking a splash or not.

I was hoping Forrest was going to be able to be shown. I would love to know what she would do in a show but I haven't seen a recent photo so I am not sure if she has enough mottling yet to be entered. The photo of her sister that Matt in NC has is totally awesome but still not enough mottling yet to be shown. And I think Nella Bean has the same thing going with the sisters of them, too. But she has entered them. The mottling just has to be near perfect for them to do well, regardless of how great their type is.

I just wanted to let everyone know that my little OEGB Daisy made a miraculous recovery. I think maybe she must have tried to fly up on the new roost and fallen or something. Must have just been some freak thing. I kept her in for 2 days to make sure she was fine. But that little pig started to make a huge mess so out to the coop with her boyfriend she went this morning! I'll try to take a pic of them later but I've somehow managed to lose my camera card

I hope everyone has a nice weekend. It's so pretty here outside today! I'm hoping to twist my DH arm into letting me buy more Christmas lights for the house plus I need to go to the feed store or I'm going to have some very hungry chickies!
