Jackie B. :

My chickens (and surprisingly guineas) are soooooo smart! Only took two days of me shoving them out the doggy door for them to figure it out!!!

Awesome Chickens!!!!!!

I saw something interesting today.

I was out at my d'Uccle tractor in the back yard playing with the kids for a while. I had them out on top of the tractor letting them fly around me and play for a while like I try to do several times a week. They are such cool little birds!

But since I was in the middle of trying to get everyone fed and cared for I had to soon move on to the next tractor. I put them all back up and went down to the Sizzle tractor and was looking back up towards the d'Uccle tractor when BAM! A small hawk flew in and took out a wild bird flying past it!

But the cats were still hanging close so 2 jumped on the hawk and one jumped the wild bird. The hawk jerked and flew away and the cat took off with the wild bird since the other cats then turned to his goody.
I was able to get the other cats away and get the other cat to let go of the pretty Starling. It flew off without any problems.

I was then thankful that the little hawk had not flown at my cutie d'Uccles because they are not much bigger than the Starling.

Lacy's comb is perfectly normal for a Wyandotte. They sometimes grow really strange but hers is a beautiful perfect comb of the Wyandottes.
Check out my Wyandotte page of my website.
