I know!!! He hangs out with his roral purple lady friend and they carry on all day together, much to the annoyment of the chickens.

Well, I'm 11 weeks today, ultrasound next week! I got sick at the movies on Sunday (random), and apaprently my signature pregnancy move is to yak in the front yard. So classy. I'm craving milk!!!! And ginger salad dressing. And Publix subs. And I can't eat eggs right now!!! I'm totally grossed out by the texture. So weird.

I had a dream that I coudl see my baby at 6 months old and she had on little white tights and a red dress and was playin with blocks on the living room floor. Of course she was the most beautiful child I have ever seen in my life

.

Oh, Jackie! It is so neat to be able to hear your experiences while being preggers. I love it!
I was lucky to only be sick one time and my co workers were so freaked (because I am never sick!) they bought me a pregnancy test. I had been married for 14 years so we figured we would never be blessed. I was not ever sick after that. But true to form, my child was bald for the first year of her life so I am guessing your baby will have hair.

Can't wait for the ultrasound!

You need to be drinking farm fresh milk! I wish you lived closer. You can always go over to Eclectic Sky and get the farm fresh milk from Mabry Dairy. That store is close to you off White Horse Road on Sulfer Springs Rd. It is much better for you and the baby than old nasty store bought stuff. (I am so prejudiced)
At least you aren't craving cookies. Man, chocolate chip cookies and fresh donuts were my Saturday night special. Poor hubby ran out almost every Sat. night for me!

I love your dream. So the baby is a girl? You should be able to tell. And she sounds adorable!
love.gif

I normally drink raw milk from Milky Way Farm but my doc said no no b/c the bacteria count is naturally higher. She is a big advocate of raw milk, just not while you're pregnant. But I can drink Happy Cow milk since it's pasturized so it's still good

LOL Don't scare her, Heidi!

I knew I was going to have a girl, too. But I was very lucky and DD slept pretty much all night from the start. No colic, no fussing, nothing. She would wake up and gurgle and coo and I would get up and change her diaper, nurse her and lay her back down in her crib. She would fall right back to sleep and let me sleep every morning. Never any problems, not even at 2, 3 or 4 years old.
However, she is going on 17 now and I have had some rough times with her sassy mouth. I guess she is making up for it! LOL

Sorry, Jackie! I don't mean to scare you there either!

Like Heidi says, it is all good. They are precious.

Jackie
When you kid is as spoiled as mine ..... I will laugh my butt off
lau.gif

I was sick as a dog first three and last three months with her..... and she had a lot of hair when she was born.

Of course I did not know I was having a girl til she got here ... but I wanted a boy
rant.gif

Now I have a mini version of me with a dash of my mom thrown in for good measure.

I tell my mom that when I was growing up & she said "just wait til you have kids" , she forgot the rest of the sentence which should have been "The kids will act like their grandmother!"
gig.gif

DH said it will be a girl to punish him for being such a little s@#t when he was little. Awesome. Super pumped about that.

You, hush! You got a good kid! Spoiled, yes, but in a good way.

And you have both, a girl and a boy!
big_smile.png
She can hold her own with any of them. Cute and prissy like a girl and tough like a boy.

I don't how your mom is but that is funny! She may not like to hear she is anything like her grandmother though!

Are you all going to your Mom's for Christmas? Are you taking Pop or does he just stay home? Or does he go to Todd's brother's house for Christmas? I bet Nicole cooks him a little something special. Okay, she makes sure you do, anyhow!
wink.png

Todd's family gets together at his aunt's house for a big meal on Christmas Eve. Sometimes Pop will go, sometimes he won't. If not, I fix him a plate so he can eat too
smile.png

Pop won't go to my families house nor come here if they are here. He says he does not want to take my time away from them. My mom used to invite him every year.

Usually, I cook Christmas Day here for my family. I tried to get out of Christmas all together
roll.png
But I am fixing some things and we are eating at mom's this year.

Little heathen! I am sure he will eventually get her to come around. He needs to mature a bit more. She is kinda bossy. Don't know why she turned out like that.
roll.png

I bet the spring will get her to thinking she needs her a man. She will probably let him breed her, lay 2 eggs and go broody on you!
gig.gif

I thought by me not paying her any attention it would help. But nope.

Hope more than 2 eggs before she goes broody
th.gif
but that would be awesome
thumbsup.gif

I still think it was so funny to see her try to take over your pen that day. I think she should have been named Queenie
big_smile.png

IDK where she got that bossiness from....same place as Nicole I guess

So do you think it will be a girl? I had a dream before I knew Lydia was going to be a girl too. It will be fun to see if you are right! It was so amazing to me when Lydia was born, I did not think I could love anything so much of think something could be so beautiful. Of course she is in her terrible twos right now but I keep telling myself it is all good! And it is!! Enjoy this time tough and get all you sleep you can because in about 8 more months you will not sleep for a long time!

LOL Don't scare her, Heidi!

My kids started sleeping through the night ( 14 hours or so) at a week old. We were blessed!

I loved being pregnant! That would be awesome if your dream comes true. Will you find out the sex when it's time? We did with one but not the other.

I'm with Susanne. I loved being pregnant. For some reason I thought I was the most special person in the world! Oh, I knew there had been millions of others before me but I just was so happy. Really great hormones, I suppose. What a shame I could never get pregnant again. I would have liked to have another. I think.
hmm.png

They could not tell me what gender I was carrying when they did the ultrasound but I just knew it was a girl.
Could you tell, Susanne? Heidi knew hers was a girl so I always wonder if others can tell.

Heidi, is it about time for another?
big_smile.png
wink.png
You need more farm workers.

I would have loved to have another one but it is not going to happen. I had a really tough time getting the one I have and waited until later in my life when medical science caught up with me to have that one. I wish I could have started earlier and maybe we could have had 2 or 3. I do thank God though for the little miracles in my life and Lydia is one of them! I guess Lydia will just have to work extra hard on the farm! And I can relive all the fun through Jackie and other friends!

I know the feeling! Had Colin when I was 35 and thought it would be easy to have more. Nope! After three years of treatments and two IVF, we finally had Annaliese. Went back for another IVF and it failed. DH said that's enough. I would love a bunch more! Guess God has his own plan.
smile.png

Have I told y'all how much I love my puppy!? What a sweetie. My DH said he's so impressed with this dog.

Sounds wonderful! Wonder if they would believe you all adopted me and I can just worm right into the food line?
lol.png
I bet there is going to be some yummy food offered.
droolin.gif

I have not thought much about what to make here. I think I will wrap the duck breast in bacon and cover in a cherry sauce. DH wants to grill some and make duck la' orang (sp?) but I think a cherry sauce would be better. Grilling may make it too tough. I am more about baking with some fat around it so I can get fat, too! Excuse me, fatter!
big_smile.png

I really have got to get stuff together to make that awesome cake that Joy posted on FB. It sounds great and DD doesn't like cake so more for me....er, us.
wink.png
And I wanted to make some haystacks. I like butterscotch on some things. Lauren's cookies looked great on her FB page so maybe I will get out my ingredients and see what I have of that.
I gotta stop by the dairy in the morning and pick up a few more gallons of milk. With DH going to work so early right now and me driving him (2 broken down cars!) I am out and about a bit earlier than usual. Fresh milk is fantastic in baking. And of course, FRESH EGGS! I am going to use duck eggs if I have any left. I have only gotten 4 a day from all my pens this week. They must be taking Christmas week off. Unions! Blah!

I had Nicole when I was 20. Was not able to have more after her .... I had a complete hysterectomy when I was about 25.

Good thing too.......I don't think I could have handled two of her!
