Yay!!! Have fun watching. I had about 20 chicks in the bator this morning and more hatching today. But wait... I do that every day. Never gets old though.

Isn't it gorgeous today?

It is a very funny sound right now but still I know he is trying. With 5 boys and 2 girls I am sure it won't take long for another to try.

And I have Mille Fleur d'Uccle eggs hatching next week. So far 7 of the 9 have developed from eggs shipped to me.

Yancy, you should put one of the birds on the Christmas tree for the first day of Christmas photo op!

Hey, I like the tree idea!!

. Amy I have been meaning to post this and tell you this is a hen I got from Judy G.we were talking about Judy when you came to the house to pic up the MF hens for Jackie. Now this hen is basketball shaped indeed, but sadly I do not have a roo.if you do see Judy please give her my reguards.I hope she remembers me.I thought she was extremely nice.

Lou Ann wanted eggs for Thanksgiving, but that didn't happen. She would be thrilled with eggs for Christmas. Just one! I've had a few talks with the girls, but not so sure they are listening and I'm sure rainy days, with even less light aren't helping. It's been a stressful couple of weeks at the office, so if anyone wants to send good thoughts this way for an egg in the next two days, I would love it. It would sure make Lou Ann smile, and save her a few trips to the coop, since she is now checking a few times each day when she is home.
The Cuckoo Maran looks ready. The SLW looks ready, and Harriet, the Ameraucana has been seen in the nest box. It's anyone's guess what color egg we will see first.

Hi all

I guess it's high time for my usual drop-in after about two months haha

I went on a cruise to the bahamas last month, which was lovely, and now, preparing for Christmas and enjoying the time off from school

anyway, my SLW's are about 3 months old now, and their lacing is finally starting to show up. The mystery chicks, same age as the SLW's, have grown as well. They're larger than their mother now, so they are definitely mixed with something not bantam. They show no signs of having any polish traits, so who knows their parentage.

anyway, without further ado, picture time!

Their mother is the whitish one in the front, you can see how much bigger they are.

So I want to focus on breeds. I know seramas, but what about large fowl? I have currently a few blrw. And 4 speckled Sussex chicks. And ameracaunas. I thought about the large fowl being Americanaus. But I also adore the Mille fleur cochin!!!
