I don't think I will share that info with him. I do plan to send eggs with him to the Fire Department the next time his shift cooks breakfast. Then I will pray that someones comments that they taste better than the store bought ones!

I'm surprised at how big the eggs from the Orpingtons are already. The ones from the Wyandottes and from the Ameraucana are what I expected pullet eggs to be. We now have some spoiled pullets who think that anytime I come into Lou Ann's backyard or she comes out her back door, there should be treats in hand or they should be let our of their run! It sure didn't take them long to learn (or get vocal about it)!

I have spoiled chickens also this is what happens when I let them out and they don't have oats/BOSS/catfood or a melon or ALL of these things in their "Special" bowl where treats are....They Come Lookin for ME!!!!

So cute! That's what my guineas do. If they seem me by an open window, they gather and start staring and squawking at me!

Finally! It's green though?

Lou Ann says it is green. I asked if it was a bluish green and she said, "No, green." I will it this evening and get a good picture with my camera. Maybe Harriet's inkjets aren't quite right yet. Of course, green is pretty, too. She is determined to do things her own way, and she is proving that she is getting plenty of nutrition-crossbeam and all. She definitely has the most personality of the flock.

Some of mine are sky blue and some are more green than blue...I hope to breed out the greener eggs by hatching from my bluer gals!!
