WOW you ll have been busy on here the past few days. . And I have been so busy and awol. But I thought I would show you what my pile of bricks has become.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Here is my Rebel herding her ducklings. They follow after her wherever she goes. They might be a little confused.

Very nice! I can imagine it overflowing with herbs and strawberries. What good puppies. They will take care of these ducks for you. I had a friend who hatched a call duckling that imprinted on her mini-aussie. That duck would follow the dog everywhere, even in through the dog door. The duck would preen the dog too. The poor dog would try to hide to get a break from all of the duck's attention.

our horse Dixie is built the same way. We finally ordered a flex tree saddle that fits her well but also fit the smaller behind of our son. We can use it on just about all of our horses. It might be something to look into. It has lasted for years. We had Dixie checked for everything. The vet said she was big but fine. We really have to watch her in the summer. We have to put her on a dry lot. I feel so sorry for her but we love that horse so much. She has saved my son's behind more than once. She came from a rescue and has been the best horse.

I had a great time meeting cpntherfan aka Walt and Tammy!! You 2 were fun to talk to...My DH just told me Walt asked about the coop roofing!! It was for a different project that he ended up not doing and didn't want it to waste!! I call it my Hawk-o-floge roofing!! LOL I hope yall come back for the cookout...ALOT of projrcts should br done by then!! As much of a mess as we have now if you had seen a while back you would be surprised!! I love it here(just not the red clay and flood!!) Just wish John had more time home so we could get more done!!

Wait, theres gonna be a cookout? lol We enjoyed meeting yall loved seeing other folks coops and set ups.We are prepping the Bator for its maiden voyage. The EE will be indoors a few days then may be put with our silkies (which both layed their first eggs today), til they get bigger. Hello SC --

I am a newbie here on BYC but wanted to say hello and also see if anyone near Greenville or Travler's Rest area had fertile hatching eggs and chicks for sale? I would prefer to buy from someone local.

We are a homeschooling family that has recently moved to the Greenville area from Columbia (my husband is the current Director of IT for the City of Greenville). We have been blessed to rent a small home that has some land and I have always wanted chickens. Plus...I promised the kids we would hatch for our spring science. We will be converting an existing, small barn like structure to a coop and I plan to pick up an incubator later this week from TSC (unless someone knows of a cheaper option) so we can begin our process.

I am particulary interested in Red Sex Linked eggs/chicks b/c I know they are easy to know if I have hens or cocks and I want mostly hens for laying. I think having some Rainbow Layers would be fun too. And...I am really wanted a couple of Black Australorps ( i hear they have spunk ), Americauno and am open to other suggestions for good layers (I really like brown eggs )

Any info you want to share will be openly and gladly received as well!

. I'm about an hour south of you down in Greenwood County. We sell Silkie, Ameraucana and Marans hatching eggs in lot of colors. The Ameraucanas lay a blue egg and the Marans lay a dark brown egg. You can see more of our chickens and our farm on my website. Link is in my signature.

Well I hope these ducks don't start following my dog in through the doggie door. My house is a mess as it is without having duck poo to contend with. Though I was picturing Rebel laying down and all the ducks nestled around her getting sun in the backyard. nice thought.

Rogers farm supply near Pelzer on highway 8 has the best prices on incubators. Most folks have better luck with the GQF Hovabator than the LG that Tractor Supply sells. If you can't find the contact info for Rogers, I think Joycats will have it.
