Gosh, I've been cutting grass since I was 10 years old (and cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, stacking wood etc.). I've had a "real" job since I was 15 but I worked on my lunch break in school at 13 years old. I like the sound of that being spoiled thing. How do I get that?

I am soo far behind reading and posting but...Joycats...you sound a little like me growing up...I ironed my Mom's uniforms for work...and cleaned house ...and watched my brothers...worked...and I will just say etc...etc...But I wouldn't trade that for anything!

OK I'm Freaking OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so I came home today and was so worried cause it was hot today and was afraid the incubator would have gotten to hot...So I ran in to see this.......

And after the photo I have 5 more pips and starting to break thur the eggs....the four others are my EE eggs. I'm so excited

I guess my saturday at 12 schedule is not happening...They are NOT on my schedule hahaa!!!
Oh my nerves...I keep checking on them...... UrgArg I have to work tomorrow for a few hours...I'm gonna just die!!

so far most of my eggs are looking good in my homemade bator, even my silkies eggs were fertile

Yay! They're here. The kids are here. And I didn't spill the beans! They are very laid back birds. Colin loves them and Annaliese is jealous!

I love them! You had a perfect weather day for the surprise. As I was looking atnthenpictures of the kids with their huge smiles, I thought of what a great thing you have done for them by moving to the farm. They will value and appreciate so many things in life so many kids take for granted.

Dixie got the first Sumatra egg today!!! Of course it goes in my bator!!

Awesome...but watch out Dixie...what goes in isn't always what you get out!!! LMBO!!

Hello fellow South Carolinians.. I saw the thread and through I'd stop by and say hi. My husband and I are just starting our coop this year and we're excited but kinda anxious about the new ordeal of starting a chicken coop.. Although my hubby has had a lot of experience with chickens I am totally new to the whole chicken experience. If y'all could offer any advice I'd greatly appreciate it.

All I can say and offer is...hold on tight!!! Chicken math adds up very fast!!

Gosh, miss a day and miss a lot on here. Catching up is hard to do but oh, so enjoyable!

How are the white Duccle eggs...Some of the ones I set from the week before didnt develope....hers are always iffy since moult...I am hoping it will improve over the next couple weeks!
