we had 2 more silkies hatch this weekend

Good day all. Well it looks like none of the other eggs due to hatch this weekend are going to hatch, so we have a lonely partridge wyandotte. So do we need to do anything different for this only chick?

Cute chicks. As for sexing them, let me tell you a little trick this old timer has learned......the line coming from under the eye means girl and the line coming from the middle of the eye means boy.
This has worked for me each and every time.

So that means the light one is a hen and the darker one is a rooster right?

So I have sooo many MF D'Uclle eggs I had to list an auction...My trio is giving me 2 a day...everyday!! ( non are from your gal mom...they are kept in a separate "to hatch" tray!! )

Had a good day...cleaned big coops...sand is a real life saver there!

Intro'd the new gals to my roo! Went very well but moving my 1 EE to the BLRW coop did not go well...One of my new gals lays an egg very close in color and I do not want a mix up!! And I know I am breaking quarantine but Phonemans gals are awsome and I really checked them over!! ALL THE NEW GALS LAID TODAY!!

DH put me a hanger pole off the corner of the horse paddock for my egg sign! Post pics soon!!

Now I have 2 bators to wash and 60+ eggs to set

well i did not do alot today hung out with my son and dil she will go into the hospital in the mornig to have my granddaughter. that will make me 3 grandchildren. they have 1 boy that is4 1 boy that is 2 and tomorrow will be my first granddaughter. i dont know if i will have enough love to go around for all three but papa sure will try.tommrow will be a ful day for their papa

That is awsome and after meeting you I am sure "papa" will have no trouble loving all those babies!! And I bet the granddaughter will have you all wrapped around her teeny pinky finger from the first second...there is something about papa's and little girls!!

Sorry to hear about your hubby...I pray he is doing better now! I have no clue on the silkies but just to make a fun guess I say its the color....CUTE!!
