Ha ha! I am thinking I have 9 roosters(out of 10 that hatched!) and could really do with a drive by rooster drop--can you drive by and drop 9 roosters or does that require 9 drive bys?

LOL Yes I am easy to keep track of. Of course when your in West Springs I am too. just look for the forklifts.
Yes I love Leonards. especially the roast pork sandwiches. but everything he has his good.
No I did not make it to the fireworks. I have a new Girl and she went to sleep on the couch and I was sitting on the floor next to it. when she dropped her arm over my shoulder I was out like a light too. we were asleep long before 9 pm.
and those cars runs just fine thank you.
and if you like that car you should stop by work.and see some real works of classic art

LeiRob- did u go to West Springs to see the fire works? Pretty awesome......
Every time I go to union I look to see if you are home. You are pretty easy to stalk, being that you are Sooo close to some pretty good eats, and Wally World. Have you ever ate at Leonard's? My husband says that a loooong time ago it was a barber shop. Hard to try something new when that BBQ is sooo good.
U need to get that old car running.....too classic

LOL I have enough troubles without worring about her. Everytime I get a chicken missing I wonder if Midway BBQ is making chicken stew. ( My girl works there ) It used to be that you could not find the chicken in the chicken stew. Since I've been raising chickens there is no shortage in the chicken stew.

2nd and 4th saturday at 10 am is the rooster drops. just turn in my driveway , pass my house. and stop at the small animal auction where everyone else is. I know what to do when people drop off a load of unwanted chickens. .. I make money.
but please. My RIR's are pure. so rooster drop in the cage in the front yard dedicated to the purpose

CarolinaChickenKeeper, see the roped off area in the front yard? That is a new chicken coop layoff, dedicated just to my little young ones. and ones for sale. the run will be between it and the fenceline. and divided into two or maybe three sections to keep them seperated. a Pullet Pen and a Cockrels Corner. Wait till my Signage gets made and comes back for it " Robert Leigh's Rhode Island Reds "

I have decided to let all my Barred Rocks go.
I have about 50 Barred Rocks for sale. from 1 month to 5 months old ( 3 to 12 dollars ).
Kim will not like it when I sell her " TV CHICK " a Barred Rock Cockrel that just loves her to death. they watch tv together when she thinks I do not know about it. I am making progress. the first time she came in the house she was hollering " All these chickens in the house have got to go " it did not matter that they were only a week old or less. I have converted her.
Now she can not wait to go feed up all the chickens and loves it when I overflow the waterer and all the chickens run to the flooding water. that is Kim's favorite past time. I'm going to hate to see my water bill, and my chickens are growing duck feet lol

I totally imagine you having a 'foundling wheel' at your house like old European convents had for unwanted babies...

I know chicks grow fast, but wow! Since Sunday its like they've doubled and now have a bunch of little feathers popping out. So now I'm trying to get my coop & run built and cannot for the life of me find welded wire smaller than 2" x 4" or 1" hardware cloth in rolls longer than 10'. I've looked at TSC and checked the website of Lowes & Home Depot with no luck. Is there some place special in the Upstate to get this stuff from?

And is there a specific size you would recommend? I'll be shutting them in at night with an automatic coop door.

Good luck on the coop! The tsc in Laurens had rolls of 25' .5" hardware cloth and Lowes in Simpsonville and Newberry did too. I also got an even bigger roll at the feed store in Laurens, Verdins. You can also order it online. I can find the sites if you need them. I had a thread on here about finding cheap hw cloth.
